Week No. 49

This weeks charts were definitely influenced by the passing of a true legend! I am talking about Nelson Mandela of course, the South African hero who has peacefully died just a few days ago. It is therefore no surprise about Tracy Chapman’s Re-Entry with ‘Talkin’ About A Revolution’, a song which will always for some reason remind me about South Africa’s difficult time in the late 80’s and early 90’s and is in my eyes a wonderful tribute! Please watch the video below to relive and pray a little for this man so he can rest in peace.

Praying and preaching also helped British singing sensation and soul legend Dusty Springfield to re-enter with her infamous ‘Son Of A Preacher Man’, one of the All Time Greats in Enrico’s Hitlist. It is her 123rd week in the Top 20 of which 4 of them were at number 1! Not much happening in the top 2 positions though with Leona Lewis’ ‘One More Sleep’ clinging on to the top spot for a second week closely followed by Nashville star Aubrey Peeples and her smash hit ‘Gonna Get Even’!
