Christmas Spirit

Good evening y’all!

I know it has been yet another few months with an update and I want to apologise that I have been letting you down. However on a positive note I need to point out that the Christmas spirit has gripped me and it just felt right this time to re-start (again) with ehCharts! And I promise – this time I will not let you down. And hey I pay fees for this so I really need to get into gear!

Since this is another attempt to start my charts again, there is not much to explain at this stage. You will see it is quite a mix in this first week having all sorts of genres occupying ranks 1-20.

The first number one hit goes to Australian group Sheppard with their smash hit ‘Geronimo’. It was a tight fight though with UK sensation Ed Sheeran and ‘Thinking Out Loud’ who has to settle for ‘silver’ this week. I need to add that ‘Thinking Out Loud’ only got popular with the Alex Adair Remix version being played at the radio stations all day long! German Schlagerstar Helene Fischer jumps to the third place with her summer anthem of the year called ‘Atemlos’. When Germany celebrated their football heroes in Berlin she performed with the boys this song live on stage in Berlin and over a million people sang along to this great pop song! Other new entrants to watch out for in future are country star Sam Hunt and US pop sensation Meghan Trainor, though I do think ‘It’s All About That Bass’ is already losing it’s swing. Thanks for tuning in and staying put plus being so patient with me this year. And thanks for welcoming back to ehCharts!!!
