ANOTHER DOUBLE BILL or this Time I Blame Dallas/Texas Y’All

Here we are again, with another ‘Double Bill’. This time I have to blame Dallas/Texas instead of New York for the delay, but maybe you like the wait to see what has happened over the past two weeks in Enrico’s Hitlist?! I hope so! And thanks for checking!!!

Firstly, we do have a new Number One, another country-pop song which rose straight to the top spot having been ‘discovered’ on my flight from London’s Heathrow airport to Chicago’s O’Hare. ‘Day For The Dead’ might sound awful, but once you hear it I am confident it will be stuck in your heads like it did in mine. Thanks to Shazam I was able to track it down the moment I touched down in the US state of Illinois. It’s the right balance of country, pop and rock as well which totally got my attention and still does as it remained at the top spot for a second week in a row! I think, their live performance is good but doesn’t do the song justice! Judge yourself. And they kind of remind me of Led Zepellin a bit!

Since I’ve already blamed Dallas for this delayed update of Enrico’s Hitlist I feel cheeky enough – though it hasn’t recently re-entered my charts – to present you the current opening of the TV-Show. I will also still stick to my statement which I made some time ago, that I do think the current show is a very good continuation of the original tv-show which captured the attention of millions!! DALLAS Fans, ENJOY!

This week saw another country-pop song debuting fairly high in Enrico’s Hitlist! Chris Young manages to enter at Number 3 with ‘I Can Take It From There’ a song which this time I discovered on my flight from Chicago to the infamous city of Dallas! That’s right, I went to Texas again and had an absolute blast! Perhaps too much alcohol but like one of my friends is keep saying to me YOLO! And like Chris is keep singing, I can also take it from there!

Another one of this weeks new entries is Marvin Gaye’s ‘Sexual Healing’. But this song only manages to re-enter because of this very chilled Kygo Remix which I heard first on a car ride from the airport to downtown Dallas. Just imagine being in a car, the sun is shining and you’re in one of the most famous cities on this planet, well according to my own rating! You get the feel. Close your eyes and let it take you wherever you want to be. Kygo did a very good job remixing this classic and no wonder this youTube video has over 3 million views.

I finish off this weeks’ epic post with a blast from the past, and I’m going back to the 27th of April 2009 when Annie Lennox entered Enrico’s Top 20 at Number One with ‘Shining Light’, an amazing song which currently ranks 164 out of 2095 (!) having scored 229 points during its twelve week appearance – three of them at the top spot! This women is a genius!
