The Newsroom

I finally caught up on a US TV-Show called ‘The Newsroom’ and this week I managed to watch a series finale. The reason I am mentioning it is that this weeks highest new entry is ‘That’s How I Got To Memphis’ storming up to the 4th position, which is pretty respectable given it’s ‘old’ nature and being a rather quiet country song. Though it did get a major push because of the HBO Entertainment show mentioned above, which featured a brilliantly Emily Mortimer alongside with Jeff Daniels.

Just realised I got a bit carried away here! As you will also see last weeks new entry ‘Cheerleader’ by OMI stormed to the top spot making it already the 3rd Number One of 2015. This is closely followed by another big gain going to The BBC and their Regions Intro. Looks like this year a lot of songs seem to attract more favouritism once they have been remixed. The Felix Jaehn Remix of Cheerleader is obviously one example which actually sits currently also at Number One in Australia’s Single Charts!

Miami Horror manages to sneak into this weeks Top 10 with ‘Holidays’! Maybe that is a sign for myself to look into booking some days of vacation for 2015 and a hint to go to Florida?!

I think it is a pretty brilliant performance by the Newsroom Cast and yet another great tv-moment created by Aaron Sorkin.
