As predicted a week ago, this week sees Melodifestivalens participant Wiktoria storm to the top spot with her cheerful tune called ‘As I Lay Me Down’. She actually progressed to the Final round in Sweden which will take place on the 11th of March in Stockholm to chose their representative for this years Eurovision Song Contest. And not only I like it, Sweden does to, as Wiktoria entered the Swedish Top 20 this week as well! I must admit it has been a while since ESC songs were so predominant in the Top 20.
Not only did Wiktoria climbed to victory this week, but you can also see Italy’s Francesco Gabbani gain an astonishing 15 places to an impressive 3rd position with ‘Occidentalis Karma’ currently a big front runner to do well in Kiev!
We also have Norway’s country/folk group Rune Rudberg Band entering at a respectable 7th position with ‘Run Run Away’ being another potential candidate to represent their country in the Ukraine!
Next weeks chart update will be actually coming from Hawaii, as I embark on a little vacation to Oahu. Perhaps there will be some Polynesian inspired tunes? Who knows!

This song has big potential to enter next weeks charts, and brings me back to 2001 when a well known Nana Mouskouri stormed to success with the original ‘Guten Morgen Sonnenschein’! What a great remix though!
