Not many changes at the very top rankings as you can see! Krista Siegfried manages to hold onto the Number 1 spot for a second week in a row and ‘Marry Me’ can keep Hayden Panettiere’s ‘Telescope’ successfully at bay. Question for next week shall be if Finland’s Eurovision Entry can do this a third week as well! Guess we have to wait and see.

You also might spot this week’s highest new entry ranked 4th! ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ by Paloma Faith left quite an impression with me having performed this song at the BAFTA’s a week ago today.

I would also like to present one of last week’s new discoveries in Enrico’s Top 20. Sam Gray who I first heard and saw on ‘BBC Breakfast’ impressed me with his song ‘This Girl’ and has climbed further up this week by two places from number 8 to number 6. Enjoy

20 NEW Shakespear Sister Goodbye Cruel World 1

Phew. The question this week is: where to start?! Well you might spot the tragic exit of Lady Gaga’s ‘The Edge Of Glory’ and the fittingly ‘Goodbye Cruel World’ by Shakespear Sister entering this weeks charts at Number 20. However, after a staggering long run of 91 continuos weeks steam simply ran out. Since her first appearance on the 9th of May in 2011 she managed to stay an incredible 19 (!) weeks in total on top of Enrico’s Hitlist. 2158 points have now catapulted her to All Time Number 2.

And oh my god what happened at the top?! Hayden Panettiere has already been overtaken very last minute by Krista Siegfrid’s ‘Marry Me’ which will represent Finland at this years Eurovision Song Contest! Check out this great song and the awesome jury performance and let me know what you think about the first Finish Eurovision Entry to top my charts.

9 new entries this week might also suggest that I had nothing better to do than listening to music all week and weekend. But you’re wrong! Besides finishing my first lesson of distance learning (and I’m learning quite a lot) I also finally unpacked my two remaining huge boxes of DVD’s and books and got 5 – tough – swim sessions in as well! I guess I just learned how to manage my time properly and still enjoy the discovery of great new tunes like Nicole Scherzingers ‘Boomerang’ which became her latest entry after being last seen with ‘Try With Me’ back in 2011! After all the excitement this week I’m now ready to finish watching the BAFTA’s and hop into bed!

20 NEW Lawson Learn To Love Again 1

And we have a new number 1! In an unforeseen last minute entry ‘Telescope’ by Hayden Panettiere – related to US TV-show ‘Nashville’ – stormed out of nowhere from 0 to 1 which last happened on the 26th of November 2012 when One Direction surprised me with their smash hit ‘I Would’! A bit funny though, since I decided not to go to Nashville/Tennessee on my US tour in May, I only discovered this fairly new ABC show this week about country music and obviously love it. It is  yet another example of how unpredictable my charts can be. Last week I thought (my) new discovery Jess Penner might be a new force in my charts, but turns out life won’t be as rosy (opposed to the song) for her! And yes you spotted right: Ke$sha is back with ‘C’mon’ after she was last seen in my charts back in 2010 with ‘Your Love Is My Drug’! Because I can’t get the tune out of my head this week I shall share with you the 281st Number 1 in Enrico’s Hitlist! PS: I hope you like me new header picture, which was taken last year on a quick visit to Boston/Massachusetts!

19 NEW Jess Penner Let Go 1
20 19 Alicia Keys Girl On Fire 3

You probably notice two things in Enrico’s Top 20 this week: a) quite a lot of non-movers including Labritnth & Emeli Sande successfully defending their number 1 spot for a second week in a row and b) more or less the return of Glee! Yes, I need to confess here that I am a fan of this US TV-Show and if a song is covered reasonably well it has a very high potential of entering my charts. Actually there is a 3rd thing you might also spot: Jess Penner not only managed to place one but two new songs in my charts! Well done and if this success continues she’s a serious contender to become Newcomer of the Year!

Anyway, as I don’t want to spoil any Glee episode for my European friends I have decided to share Karmin’s ‘Brokenhearted’ with you this week, a song which came 6th in the 2012 year-end charts and it is still going strong in 2013 occupying the 2nd spot after the first 4 weeks! Personally I think it is one of those songs from the minute it start’s you’re totally hooked!!! Don’t you agree?!

19 13 Alicia Keys Girl On Fire 2
20 18 Cody Simpson Be The One 3

And here we go … Week 3 of 2013 is now official!

As you can see there are some dramatic changes including a new Number 1 in Enrico’s Hitlist! Another song you also might spot in this week’s Top 20 is the re-entry of Vaya Con Dios’ ‘Nah Neh Nah’ which – after having been mentioned earlier this week in ‘past & future’ – scored new record clicks on YouTube and simply had to enter the Top 20 again!

It also shows you how unpredictable my charts can be, for example by seeing how Elmar Bernstein’s song became the biggest free faller this week by plummeting 14 ranks from 3 down to 17 or last week’s new entry Bruno Mars dropping out completely! Will be interesting to see what’s hot and new next week and if Labrinth & Emeli Sande can retain the Number 1 spot!

However my ‘video’ for you today will be the highest new entry (and a first for him) this week. Enjoy Bon Jovi’s ‘Because We Can’ & have a fabulous week!! Enrico x
