Even I did not see that one coming! For most of the week it looked like the Glee Cast can celebrate their 13th Number 1 in Enrico’s Hitlist with the how I find amazing ‘Mamma Mia’ cover! But in a last minute introduction – thanks to one of my friends from New York – Icona Pop & Charli XCX stormed to fame by becoming my 285th smash hit with their single ‘I Love It’! And obviously I do love it a lot, as I’ve been singing along to this almost trance kind of tune all day long and it kind of kept me going during a very tough swim session tonight too. What a nice Easter surprise! Another Easter surprise this week, were views from three new countries. And at this stage I’d like to take the opportunity to welcome Brazil, the Ukraine and Fiji! I hope everyone is enjoying Enrico’s latest Number 1!!
This years current Number 1 ‘Telescope’ by Nashville star Hayden Panettiere is slowly losing steam and after nine weeks has left the Top 10 by falling 7 ranks down to a disappointing 16th position. Jess Penner however makes a re-appearance with a new entry trying to bring me into ‘Paradise’. Not to whinge again, but this bloody cold weather is clearly driving me nuts! Knocking on the doorstep towards the Top 10 is now ‘Just Give Me A Reason’ performed by Pink & Nate Ruess and climbing six positions up from last weeks 17th spot.
And of course, I do need to mention the queen of country Dolly Parton again. Thats not just because she managed to hold onto her 10th position with last weeks new entry ‘John Daniel’ (I am still having difficulties not to say Jack Daniels!!). She also makes a remarkable re-entry with her ‘Straight Talk’ single from the movie she starred in with the very same title. It was a major hit in the 2007 charts and she was last seen back in 2011. Being one of my favourite movies of all time I kind of forced my flatmate to watch it with me this Easter. Unfortunately he didn’t like it very much. Nevertheless the music made even him getting into a dancing mood … And on that note enjoy the video and Happy Easter!!!
